The number of apparitions of Our Lady have been very intense since 1830 with her apparition to St. Catherine Laboure to promote the Miraculous Medal.
In total at least 12 significant apparitions have happened since 1830 so clearly God was seeking to get humanity and Catholic Church leaders to turn back to deep faith.
This is an interesting discussion on the Kibeho apparition which happened before the genocide in Rwanda.
But the warnings were for the whole world!
